Bhara Kahu Police arrested two accused involved in murder case

Islamabad capital police Bhara Kahu police station and homicide wing team have arrested two accused including a woman involved in murder, a police public relations officer said.
He said that, on 16.03.2023 Bhara Kahu police station received an application from a citizen namely Rizwan Aslam who stated that his elder brother namely Muhammad Imran Aslam Khan was tortured by his wife namely Irum Bibi and her brother Ali Akbar who was later stabbed to death.
Upon receiving the application, the Bhara Kahu Police team registered a case no. 133 under section 302/34 PPC. Following this incident a special investigation team was constituted. The police team utilized all available resources and used technical and scientific methods and arrested two accused namely Irum Bibi (wife) and her brother Ali Akbar, while further investigation is underway.
CPO/ DIG Operations Islamabad Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari said that Islamabad capital police adopt a zero tolerance policy against gender-based violence including injustices, crimes and violence against women and children and the accused will be brought to justice by taking strict legal action against them.
He appreciated the performance of the police team and further directed all officials to intensify the crackdown against the criminal elements. “Safety and security of the citizens is our foremost priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard.
