PESHAWAR: The series of rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Peshawar continues intermittently on Saturday, an official of the Met Office said here. After the onset of rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the heat wave has come to an end with rains likely to continue till this evening, the officials of the Meteorological Department said. Due to the rains, the temperature dropped significantly and the temperature of Peshawar is a record 13 degrees Celsius, the official said. The rain that has been going on for the past six days, the maximum of 57 mm has fallen in Bannu, the official said. The Department of Meteorology recorded 51mm rain in Landikotal, 26mm in Chedrat 26, 22mm in Mardan 22, 19 in Timargharah, 26mm, Saidu Sharif, Swat 5, Abbottabad 8, while Dera Ismail Khan was record 7 mm of rain so far, the official of the Meteorology Department said.
