ISLAMABAD: As the country’s seventh population and house census continues, it is estimated that Pakistan population may exceed 250 million, Sindh’s 60 million and Karachi’s 20 million. According to sources in the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, 140 million people had so far been counted in the country and 40 million houses enumerated and geo-tagged. In Sindh, 9.7 million houses had been geo-tagged and in Karachi 8.5 million people had so far been enumerated but still over 50% yet to be counted in the megacity. DNA
