Elected local body representatives should always be present among the people and try to solve their legitimate problems on priority basis, said Mayor Peshawar Haji Zubair while talking to media men soon after having a meeting with public representatives here on Sunday.
The local body system will prove to be a silent revolution, Mayor Peshawar said. The elected local government representatives have been given more powers so that they can solve the problems of the people at their doorsteps in the true sense, Mayor Peshawar Haji Zubair Ali said in connection with the completion of one year of the local government.
He urged the public representative to be among the people for the solution of their problems.
Mayor Peshawar also paid surprise visits to various localities during rain and inspected the sewerage besides passing on spot instruction to remove the pool of water.
He said visits to different areas should get awareness about public problems and issues orders to solve them on the spot.
