School enrollment awareness walk conduct in Khyber

To sensitize parents to enroll their children in state-run schools, an awareness walk was held at Bab-e Khyber last day.
The activity was organized by the education department and beside District Education Officer (DEO)Uzair Ali,Additional DEO Shahid Ali,Assistant Education officer Tahir Khan it was attended by people from different walks of life.
The participants took a walk from the District Education Office to Bab-e Khyber while carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans in favor of enrolling children in schools.
Addressing on the occasion DEO Uzair Ali urged the parents to roll their children in government-run schools for their best future.
The School’s admission campaign had been kicked off in Khyber and the government schools offered enrollment in morning as well as in evening classes, he added.
Additional EDO Shahid Ali said that the government provided free books, stationary and uniform to students in state-run schools to facilitate have-not sections of the society therefore for the bright future of the country it was binding on the parents to admit their children.
Highlighting the importance of education AEO Tahir khan said no nation could develop without it thus the government adopting all necessary initiatives to increase literacy rate in the country.
It is worth mentioning here that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has set up a target of 1.6 million children to be enrolled in school in the ongoing campaign.
