Security Forces has initiated a massive planting campaign in different districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Under the auspices of Frontier Corps North, a total of 32,500 saplings have been planted in Khyber district, 7850 saplings in Mohmand district, 8600 saplings in Bajaur district, 9300 saplings in Swat & Dir districts and 14,000 saplings in Chitral district.
Notably, a significant number of Miyawaki plants, known for their fast growth and environmental benefits, have been included in the plantation drive in all these districts.
The aim is to promote afforestation and mitigate the adverse effects of seasonal disasters such as floods and landslides in these vulnerable areas.
The efforts of Frontier Corps North in promoting greenery and sustainability in these districts have been ongoing for the past two years, resulting in the planting of over one million sixty-four thousand saplings during this period.
The plantation campaign continues with renewed vigor, as Security Forces remain committed to preserving the environment and protecting these areas from natural disasters.
