LAHORE: Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has issued an alert about another rain spell that will hit the province at the weekend. A westerly wave is likely to enter upper parts of the country on 15th April and would spread in western and central parts subsequently bringing down the temperatures considerably. Murree, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal and Jhelum are likely to experience intermittent rain with strong winds and thundershowers from April 15 to April 20. Meanwhile, there is a possibility of heavy rain and hail at some places. There are chances of rain in Lahore, Multan, DG Khan, Rajanpur, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalnagar, Layyah, Bhakkar Khushab and Mianwali on April 17 and 18. Rain is also likely in Sargodha, Gujarat, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Narowal, Sahiwal, Okara, Faisalabad, and Toba Tek Singh. Similarly, Jhang, Kasur, Sheikhupura and Nankana Sahib are also expected to experience light rain with gusty winds and thundershowers. PDMA has also warned that rain may cause landslides in the hilly areas of Murree.
