PESHAWAR: The district administration and food department have seized 6,500 bags of sugar from a godown in the outskirts of the city and arrested two accused red handed. On a tip-off that huge quantity of sugar has been hoarded in a godown on Ring Road, Assistant Commissioner Rao Hashim, Ration controller Jamasheed Afridi along with officials of the Food Department and Police conducted a raid and seized 6,500 bags of sugar weighing 50KG each bag stored in containers. Two accused were arrested and investigation started after registration of the case. APP
