PTI chairman Imran Khan has disclosed that he dissolved KP and Punjab assemblies at the behest of former army cheif Gen Qamar Bajwa.
“Former army chief is liar and he has no ideology”, he said this in an interview here.
He pointed out he had met with Gen (Retd) Bajwa along with president Arif Alvi. During the meeting Gen Bajwa said if I dissolve assemblies he will hold election. Upon it we dissolved Punjab, KP assemblies.
He claimed federal government is using talks with opposition to delay the polls and it has not made any formal contact with PTI. Mandate for talks has been given to PTI central vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
He indicated non among PDI has made any formal contact with us.
“I fear government is using talks to delay the polls. They are wasting time so that the election could be postponed beyond October.
PTI is adamant on holding polls in Punjab as per Supreme Court (SC) April 4 order wherein court had directed government to hold election on May 14.
If government has any proposal regarding joint polls then this can be discussed, he remarked. If they give proposal endorsed by SC for holding joint and immediate polls only then we can talk to them. But if they are leaving it then it is nothing short of a net.
He observed his biggest condition was present set up be removed. This set up has become unconstitutional now. We want real care taker government should be put in place.
He held if his party voted to power again he will focus on rule of law and reconstruction of Pakistan adding the fascist steps by PDM against PTI workers like killing of Zille Shah is unpardonable.
He reiterated Gen (Retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa is liar. He was planning to dismiss PTI government since one year.
Gen (Retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa has started lobbying with US one year back. He wants US should support his extension. For this purpose he wanted good relations with India. He did not care for Kashmiris. He said former heads of intelligence agencies had given briefing and presentations on Sharif family corruption.
He underlined he had more information than this for people but he was ready to give NRO to these people. But thing is this if you realize moral views or ideology then how can you give NRO to these thieves.
If you donot realize that you are giving NRO to big thieves and selling the Kashmiris it means you have no ideology., he added.
