Two soldiers hurt in attack on check post in Bara

Two security troops sustained injuries when unknown militants attacked on Spreen Qabar checkpoint of subdivision Bara, district Khyber on last night.
Police sources informed that on Monday late night hours unknown disclosed armed persons waged an assault on the joint check post of Frontier Constabulary (FC) and police in Speeen Qabar area and wounded two of FC soldiers in firing.
In retaliation the militants were forced to flee, police said.
Soon after the incident, the reinforcement of FC and police rushed to the spot, cordoned off the whole area and held the position to ensure security.
The wounded soldiers identified as Ashraf Khan and Mirza Khan were shifted to Hayatabad Medical Complex for medical aid, police official said.
Superintendent Police (SP) investigation, Khyber Zia Hussain visited the checkpoint and collected evidence of the site.
He also examined the outer and inner layers of security measures of the check post.
Encouraging the on duty security personnel he urged to utilize bullet proof jackets and helmets during executing their duties and adopted all necessary security steps to foil any untoward incidents.
