Speaker National Assembly (NA) Raja Pervez Ashraf has constituted a special committee to probe into audio leaks of Najam Saqib son of former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar.
NA Secretariat has issued formal notification regarding the formation of committee.
Muhammad Aslam Bhootani has been appointed as chairman of committee. The other members are Shahida Akhtar Ali, Muhammad Abu Bakar, Chaudhry Muhammad Barjees Tahir and Sheikh Rohail Asghar.
Syed Hussain Tariq, Naz Baloch, Khalid Hussain Magsi, Wajiha Qamar and Dr Muhammad Khan Dhandla too are members of committee.
According to notification the committee will be authorized to seek help from any investigating agency in connection with investigation and inquiry.
The committee will present its report to National Assembly following the completion of its comprehensive investigation.
