A police soldier, martyred in militants firing at Al-Haj checkpoint ,Bara district Khyber was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard with state honor on Monday.
It is to be stated that last night unknown militants waged an offense at the police check post, martyred the police troop and in retaliation managed to successfully flee of the site.
Earlier, funeral prayer of the Shaheed police personnel Naseem Khan Afridi was offered at Levies Center, Shahkas, Jamrud with state honor.
Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Muhammad Ijaz, District Police Officer (DPO) Khyber Saleem Kulachi,Sector Commandar,Commandant Bara Rifles,interm Provincial Minister Taj Muhammad Afridi, administrative officials, relatives of the martyred cop, elders and people from different walks of life attended the funeral rites.
The officials put floral wrath on the coffin and saluted the coffin of the deceased.
Condoling with heirs of the late soldier, CCPO Ijaz Khan said that the martyred was a courageous troop who sacrificed his life in the line of duty.
The whole police department stands aside with the grieved family and blood of the deceased soldier will never be wasted, he remarked.
He pledged that the culprits will be brought to law.
According to reports in the recent target killing wave, scores of police officials have been martyred across Khyber.
