New CCPO Peshawar takes charge

Syed Ashfaq Anwar, an officer of the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP), on Sunday assumed the charge of Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Peshawar.
On the arrival at the Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines, a smartly turned out contingent of police presented him a guard of honor.
CCPO Peshawar also placed flowers on the Police Martyrs Memorial and paid tribute to the Martyrs.
Syed Ashfaq Anwar had an introductory meeting with senior officers at the Police Lines Peshawar.
He said that sacrifices made by the police force in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would be remembered for a long time, adding that police officers and personnel have also shed their blood for the sake of the country and nation in the past.
CCPO Syed Ashfaq Anwar said that the supremacy of law and merit will be prioritized in every situation and all out efforts will be ensured to maintain law and order situation in the provincial metropolis.
