PESHAWAR: Police claimed to have conducted a successful operation and arrested four persons allegedly involved in robberies and drug trafficking. Chamkani Police Station SHO Iftikhar Ahmad told reporters on Thursday that police team led by DSP Zahid Khan carried out an important operation in the limits of the police station and arrested two suspects. Iftikhar Ahmad said that the arrested persons have been identified as Rabnawaz, Muhammad Khan alias Manan, Shafaat and Suliman, residents of Peshawar. The operations, as per details, was carried out near Chamkani Police Station Motorway toll plaza and Khazirkhwani Park. During the successful operations, a total of two Kalashnikovs, two pistols, hundreds of different bore cartridges and 6 kilograms of hashish have been recovered from the possession of the accused. During the operations, the vehicles used in drug and arms smuggling, while the motorcycle from the alleged criminal group has also been seized by the police.
