Wanted member of drug smuggler gang held; drugs capsules recovered

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad capital Police robbery and dacoity unit (RDU) has arrested a wanted member of a drug smuggler gang and recovered 60 herion filled capsules from his possession, a Police Public Relation Officer said. He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police had categorically started a crackdown against criminal elements in order to save the precious lives and property of the citizens. Following these directions, a robbery and dacoity unit (RDU) Police team used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehended a wanted member of a drug smuggler gang and recovered 60 heroin filled capsules from his possession The accused were identified as Said Rasool. Case has been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. DNA
The Capital Police Officer (CPO/ DIG) Operations Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari appreciated the performance of the police team and further directed to intensify the crackdown against the criminal elements. “Safety and security of the citizens is our foremost priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard”.
