KHYBER: A minor girl killed and eight others including children and a woman sustained injuries when roof of a room of an Afghan family caved in here in Gagra village of tehsil Landi Kotal, district on Sunday. Rescue 1122 and locals said that the laborers were repairing the roof of the house of one,Jameel Khan, an Afghan refugee when it fell down on his family who were busy taking their breakfast and buried them on the debris. Soon after the incident, the nearby residents and Rescue 1122 workers rushed to the spot, retrieved the injured and shifted them to headquarter hospital Landi Kotal. However the eleven years old daughter of Jameel Khan identified as Zainab succumbed to her wounds before reaching the hospital, health official said. As per hospital sources three injured were referred to Peshawar health center due to precarious condition while the rest of wounded were discharged after providing medical assistance.
