ISLAMABAD: Islamabad capital police Nilore police team apprehended a Wanted member of a former jailbird dacoit gang involved in looting citizens at gunpoint and recovered cash, vehicle and weapon used in crime from his possession, a police public relations officer said. He said that, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city. Following these directives, the Nilore police team used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending a wanted member of a former jailbird dacoit gang. The accused was identified as Ayaz Javed. The accused was involved in looting citizens at gunpoint. Police team also recovered cash, vehicle and weapon with ammunition used in crime from his possession. The accused have previous criminal records also and have been challaned in numerous cases. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
CPO/ DIG Operations Islamabad Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari has appreciated the performance of the police team who arrested these thieves. He has appealed to the citizens to verify the bio-data of domestic servants before employing them.
