PESHAWAR: Acting on tip-off, police on Wednesday claimed to havearrested an alleged liquor dealer and recovered 142 bottles of alcohol andcash. SHO Police Station Tatara Hayatabad Taimur Saleem Khan told reporters thatthe arrested drug dealer had been allegedly supplying liquor in largequantities by motor vehicle.He said that acting on tip-off, DSP Hayatabad Muhammad Arshad Khan led a police team arrested the supplier in phase-7 area during an importantoperation. The arrested accused has been identified as Afaqullah residents of Jamrud. During the initial investigation, the arrested accused confessed tobeing involved in the liquor trade and revealed the names of other associatesof the network.SHO Taimur Saleem Khan said that a special team has been formed to arrestother members of the network involved in liquor trafficking. A case has been registered against the arrested accused and furtherinvestigation has been started. Crime Reporter
