May 9 riots case
ISLAMABAD
District court Islamabad has approved bail plea of PTI vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi till June 19 against surety bonds in the sum of Rs 10000.
May 9 riots case registered in Tarnol police station against Shah Mehmood Qureshi came up for hearing before the court of Sessions judge Tahir Abbas Sipra Tuesday.
PTI leader appeared in the case in person.
During the hearing of the case Additional Sessions Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra questioned counsel Ali Bokhari where he was yesterday.
Ali Bokhari told the court he was engaged in chief commissioner office on the matter of application.
The judge remarked no counsel from your side appeared in the court yesterday in connection with bail plea of chairman PTI. I had rejected his bail plea. The bail pleas of other co-accused are fixed for hearing on June 19.
Counsel Ali Bokhari said Shah Mehmood Qureshi talks of supremacy of law. There is no problem.
Later court approved bail plea of Shah Mehmood Qureshi till June 19 against surety bonds of Rs 10000.
