NORTH WAZIRISTAN
The Higher Education Department (HED) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has provided transport facilities to Government Postgraduate College Miran Shah, Government Degree College Mir Ali and Government Girls Degree College Miran Shah.
The overall aim of the provision of the transportation facilities to the colleges was to boost the efforts of the district administration and Pakistan Army for promoting and enhancing education facilities in North Waziristan.
The three brand new Hiace vehicles were provided for the transport facilities of teachers and students of two colleges for boys and one for girls in a ceremony held here with Secretary HED-KP Dr. Aneela Mahfooz Durrani as chief guest, said a handout.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Aneela Mahfooz Durrani said that all available resources would be utilized for strengthening the higher education system in North Waziristan. She appreciated the efforts of the district administration and Pakistan Army 7 Division Miran Shah for constantly striving to improve health and education sectors in the area.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) North Waziristan Rehan Gul Khattak and Colonel Saud of 7 Division Miran Shah thanked Secretary HED for taking tangible steps to promote higher education in the war torn district.
The ceremony was attended by the heads and staff members of the Government Postgraduate College Miran Shah, Government Degree College Mir Ali and Government Girls Degree College Miran Shah.
