Muharrar suspended over negligence

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Haroon Rashid Khan paid surprise visits to Chamkani Police Station and Phando Police Station on Friday.
According to a handout, SSP Operations Peshawar checked the record register, arsenal and treasury records. He reviewed the overall security arrangements of the aforementioned police stations in view of the current volatile situation and issued necessary instructions to the quarter concerned.
He expressed his dissatisfaction over the incomplete record and suspended Muharrar of the Police Station Chamkani Naveed Rauf for not compiling the record.
Mr Rauf was issued a show cause notice and sent to line for showing poor performance.
Mr Haroon also registered his feedback in the register for Gazetted Officers and directed the concerned personnel for correctness of records and timely completion of registers.
He said police should serve people in letter and spirit and no negligence would be tolerated in duty to protect the life and property of the people.
In line of duty police must ensure their safety and adhere to safety first principles and ensure the implementation of their security measures, SSP Operations added.
