In a press conference held at the Thatta press club, Ahmed Nawaz Pathan, President of the All Pakistan Clerk Association (APCA) Sindh, voiced his disappointment regarding the prolonged delay in addressing the promotion concerns of numerous clerks within the education department.
Pathan highlighted that despite explicit directives from the primary and secondary education directors, the rightful promotions of 27 junior clerks, 21 senior clerks, and 48 other clerks have been denied. The education directors had issued letters to the district education officers in Thatta, instructing them to promptly establish a Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) to resolve these issues. Regrettably, the officials have shown reluctance in forming the DPC and effectively addressing the matter at hand.
During the press conference, he emphasized that these clerks have been patiently awaiting their well-deserved promotions for the past three years, as directed by the education directors.
Frustrated with the lack of action by the education officers, he issued a warning that if the issue is not promptly resolved within 48 hours, the APCA will organize a sit-in protest in front of the offices of both the primary and secondary education officers.
APCA leaders Taj Hussein Brohi, Latif Khatri, and several others were also present on this occasion.
