ISLAMABAD :President Dr Arif Alvi has appointed Justice Qazi Faez Isa as Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP).
The appointment order will take effect from September 17, 2023 on the retirement of Justice Umar Ata Bandial.
The sitting CJP Umar Ata Bandial will achieve retirement age on September 16, 2023 under article 179 of the constitution.
President has appointed Justice Qazi Faez Isa as CJP under article 175/A-3 of the constitution.
President Arif Alvi will administer oath of his office to Justice Qazi Faez Isa on September 17, 2023.
