CPEC, BRI projects of great importance for Pakistan: Ghulam Ali

Governor Haji Ghulam Ali has said that Pakistan and China are all weather friends and the bonds between the nations cemented further by the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), saying the projects under the Silk Road are of great importance for Pakistan.
He expressed these views here on Saturday while speaking as a chief guest at a seminar organized on the completion of ten years of the Belt Road Initiative (BRI) known as China’s Silk Road.
Provincial Ministers Barrister Feroz Jamal, Fazal-e-Elahi, and Malik Mahar Elahi also present on the occasion.
Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) President Irshad Arif, General Secretary Ijaz-ul- Haq, CPNE Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President and Editor-in-Chief of Daily Ittehad Tahir Farooq, Dr. Shabbir Ahmed of Area Study Center Peshawar University, Kausar Takreem of China Study Center, political and social personalities and representatives of the business community, students attended the seminar.
Tahir Farooq on this occasion shed lights over the objective of the seminar and informed the participants about the Silk Road and ongoing projects and their importance for Pakistan.
The video message of Chinese Embassy Charge d’Affaires Ping Shenzhou was also played in the event.
Provincial Information and Public Relations Minister Barrister Feroz Jamal, CPNE President Irshad Arif, CPNE General Secretary Ijazul Haque, Area Study Center Peshawar University Dr. Shabbir Ahmed, China Study Center Kausar Takrim, FPC CI’s Focal Person Sartaj Ahmad Khan also spoke and highlighted the importance of CPEC.
A cake cutting ceremony was also held on the completion of 10 years of CPEC.BRI.
Addressing the seminar, Governor Haji Ghulam Ali congratulated Tahir Farooq for organizing the wonderful event and said that the whole world is in awe of the unprecedented progress China has made in a short period of time.
He said that CPEC has given fresh blood to Pakistan-China friendship as the projects launched under the program would pave the way for Pakistan toward prosperity and development.
Haji Ghulam Ali maintained that Pakistan should follow the Chinese strategy for development and prosperity, adding that hardwork is the passport to success and no nation can achieve their objective unless it has diligent and hardworking people.
Governor KP on this occasion felicitated the newly elected cabinet of the CPNE and hoped that the council would play its positive role in promoting the CPEC and Silk Road Initiative for the greater interest of Pakistan and its people.
