EC contempt case

Non bailable arrest warrants of former PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry have been issued in Election Commission (EC) contempt case. Hearing of Contempt of EC case against Fawad Chaudhry took place on Thursday. A five members commission presided over by the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) took up the case for hearing. The counsel to Fawad appeared in the EC. He requested the EC to adjourn the hearing of the case. Member EC questioned has Fawad Chaudhry come. Fawad Chaudhry has neither come nor has any exemption plea been filed by him.
The counsel to Fawad Chaudhry argued counsel to EC has to give arguments in high court today, therefore, the hearing be adjourned because high court will announce the judgment within a day or two.
The EC while rejecting this plea adjourned the hearing of contempt of EC case against Fawad Chaudhry till July 20.
