PESHAWAR
Director General (DG) National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) Waqar Ahmed Chohan will hold an open court (Khuli Kacheri) at its office on July 25, 2023 (Tuesday).
According to a press release, the DG NAB would hear peoples’ complaints personally from 2:00p.m to 4:00p.m at NAB Office, PDA building, Phase V, Hayatabad, Peshawar. All the concerned officers will also accompany the DG NAB.
According to a statement issued by Mian Muhammad Waqar, complaints against any official/accused that illegally benefited anyone from government kitty or willfully inflicted loses to official exchequer or accumulated assets beyond known sources of income or has not given government projects’ /contracts in accordance with the set procedures or cheated public at large and embezzled people’s money through fraudulent means or any institution /real estate society involved in embezzlement of money would be heard.
The complainants have been requested to bring their written complaints along with computerized CNIC and preliminary relevant documentary proof at NAB Office.
The Director General NAB said that transparent investigation would be carried out regarding all complaints and strong action would be taken against the accused under the law. Moreover, anyone having a complaint against NAB officers may also file the same at the open Katchery.
It is pertinent to note that Chairman NAB, Lt Gen Nazir Ahmad, in order to give access to people has decided to hear public complaints personally and in this connection has directed all the Regional Director Generals to personally hold such interactions.
