PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety Authority on Friday raided a godown on Swabi Road Mardan and recovered 20,000 liters of fake beverages. A team of food authority raided a godowm on Swabia and recovered 20,000 liters of fake beverages that was being stored with original soft drinks. Upon suspicion, food officials selected samples and analyzed them on mobile laboratory. The results of sample were confirmed that soft drinks were fake and not according to approved food standard. Owner of the godown was sent to jail and harmful consignment of beverages was confiscated. Meanwhile, food authority has explicitly said that raids would be continued against substandard food items and no one be allowed to endanger lives of innocent people. APP
