Feroze Jamal says foreign hands are involved in the recent wave of terrorism in the province

Caretaker Minister for Information Barrister Feroze Jamal Shah Kakakhel on Wednesday called for unity in the fight against terrorism, saying enduring peace and stability in the province would be ensured and all available resources would be utilized to curb the menace of terrorism.
Addressing a news conference on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s current security situation, the minister said that four terrorist incidents took place in Peshawar and Khyber in as many days, adding that police and law enforcement agencies have fought bravely and laid their lives for maintaining law and order situation in the province.
Kakakhel, during media interaction, said that security forces and police will not come under any pressure as the nation’s resolve against the terrorism will continue till the establishing peace.
He said that an additional station house officer was martyred in a suicide blast in the Ali Masjid Area of Jamrud tehsil of Khyber district.
The explosion was so intense that it pulled down the building of the mosque; he added and said that Adnan Afridi, who embraced martyrdom, risked his life to arrest the suicide bomber.
He said that the people of the province and police force paid rich tribute to the additional station house officer for showing gallantry.
Caretaker minister said that KP has witnessed major incidents of terrorism in the last few decades and police were fighting as frontline force in the war against terrorism and commended the force for rendering countless sacrifices.
Barrister Feroze Jamal stated the history of police was full of sacrifices and condoled with families of those policemen, who embraced martyrdom in the recent attacks in Peshawar and Khyber.
He said that the morale of every official of the police department was high. “Terrorists cannot demoralize us with such actions,” he said and added that they were protecting their nation.
The minister for information claimed that the caretaker setup in the province was moving ahead with prudence and strategy, adding that no one would be allowed to disturb hard earned peace in the province.
The KP Minister for Information claimed that foreign hands were involved in the recent wave of terrorism in the province. “These foreign elements want to destroy the peace and stability of the country,” he said.
While sharing the steps taken to improve overall security, Kakakhel said that 46 additional check posts and seven police stations have been set up.
With the support of the Pakistan Army, 8000 policemen of the province will be given modern training to combat the rising incidents of terrorism, Barrister Feroze Jamal Shah Khakahel added.
He said 325 cameras have been installed at sensitive locations in the provincial capital and Pakistan Army has provided 25 armored vehicles to the police force to strengthen security measures in Peshawar.
The protection and safety of the general public was the prime responsibility of the government and all possible steps have been ensured to maintain law and order situation in the province, he added.
