To flay unlawful action of revoking the special status of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir a rally was taken out here inside the compound of tehsil Landi Kotal, district Khyber on Saturday.
Assistant Commissioner,Landi Kotal Irshad Mohmand,tehsil chairman Haji Shah Khalid,ex-parliamentarian Wilson Wazir,scores of tribesmen,councillors participated in it.
Addressing on the occasion speakers said Haji Shah Khalid, Wilson Wazir and others categorically condemned the Indian government for forcibly annexation of Jammu and Kashmir.
Abrogation of article 370 and 35-A was not only a violation of the Indian Constitution but also against the spirit of the UN resolutions, they said.
Kashmiris had never accepted India’s forcible and illegal occupation of their motherland, they added and said it was an attempt to change the demography of their territory and to deprive them of their resources, jobs, identity, cultural, land and above all the promised right to self-determination.
They urged the United Nation to adopt concrete initiatives to accept the ground reality and resolve the dispute peacefully in accordance with the universally accepted principle of right to self-determination.
The participants who also carried banners inscribed with statements in favor of Kashmiri people and chanted slogans against the occupied Indians forces.
After offering prayers for the independence of Kashmir, they dispersed peacefully.
