Faiq announces to issue a white-paper on performance of coalition govt

Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) chairman Muhammad Faiq Shah announced his party will issue a white paper on 15 months performance of outgoing coalition government
Shah expressed dismay over the poor performance of the previous 13-parties unity government.
He added that promises made with the public didn’t materialize as there was no stone left unturned to add to problems of the poor masses.
Faiq while talking to political figures, social activists and noted personalities from KP, Punjab here on Wednesday said the economic and social situation became worse owing to lack of any pragmatic steps.
He said price-hike, unemployment have increased manifold while exports, businesses and trade have decreased exponentially.
The party leader noted rulers had never remained a priority to remove the miseries of the public, rather they worked only for protection of personal interests, politics and bestowed their own people.
During the last 15 months, he said the coalition government made everything for only personal interest, politics and greediness.
He said focus was given to target political opponents instead of removing public miseries while national institutions were also discredited in tug of war for gaining power and authorities.
The ATP chairman said stagnation was brought in every sector.
Government machinery was made redundant and no serious action was seen to provide relief, he added.
The party chief said many people lost their lives for getting a flour bag, floods and mismanagement.
Commenting on the upcoming General Election, Faiq called for removal of drawbacks and discrepancies in the electoral system by bringing comprehensive reforms.
He added reforms should be brought with consensus of all political parties, institutions and public segments.
Shah said the election commission should take every practical step to ensure conduct of free, fair and transparent polls.
The party leader said it is the duty of the caretaker government to assist the election commission at every level to hold impartial elections.
He said the nation should be united by remaining in constitutional ambit and a true public representative government should be installed.
