Koki Khel tribe demands repatriation of displaced persons to Tirah Valley

Residents of Koki Khel demanded the government to ensure safe repatriation of Internal Displaced Persons (IDPs) to their hometown, Rajgal, Tirah Valley.
In this connection they took out a protest rally at Bab-e-Khyber, Jamrud that was attended by a large number of tribesmen.
Malik Naseer Afridi, who led the moot while speaking on the occasion, said that for the last one month, they had set up protest camp in favor of their demands, however the government had turned blind eyes towards it.
Until and unless, the government notified the repatriation period for the IDPs of Koki Khel to Rajgal, they will not give up their agitation, he remarked.
Numbers of sitting were initiated between the Koki Khel elders and the administration to convince the former to finish their protest but to in avail.
It is to be stated here that the tribal of Koki Khel demonstrated since long for return of IDPs to Tirah Valley, end of excessive load shedding and solution of Regi Lalma land dispute as per Mefey Graft award 1912.
The protestors were carrying black flags and black ribbons were tied around their hands besides they were chanting full throat slogans against the government.
