ISLAMABAD
A flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Central Police office Islamabad to celebrate Independence Day, a police public relations officer said.
He said that AIG General Muhammad Arslan Shahzeb inaugurated the ceremony by hoisting the national flag. The ceremony resonated with the stirring rendition of the national anthem and the spirited chant of “Pakistan Zindabad,” echoing the collective spirit of the attendees.
Meanwhile, SP Headquarters and other senior police officers and officials were also present on the occasion. A smartly turned-out contingent of Islamabad Capital police presented the Guard of Honour.
Addressing the ceremony, AIG General reflected on the importance of the day and also conveyed a message of ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan that “Today, we honor the officers and jawans who stand as pillars of our nation’s stability,” he emphasized.
“Their unwavering commitment to maintaining peace, upholding order, and ensuring security is truly commendable. As we celebrate this day, we pay homage to the sacrifices of our ancestors and leaders, who paved the way for Pakistan’s existence.”
He further said that, “The sacrifices of our martyrs, who valiantly laid down their lives to uphold the rule of law and fight against crime, will forever be etched in our hearts. The event concluded on a heartfelt note with special prayers offered for the nation’s stability, progress, and prosperity.
