Jaranwala incident a matter of grave concern: Ahsan

PML-N Secretary General and former Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal strongly condemned the incident of Jaranwala and said that there is no room for making factions in Islamic state.
Ahsan Iqbal said in a statement on social media that heartbreaking incidents in Jaranwala are matter of concern for us.
Certain religious groups have freely used religion to create fanaticism among people for political purposes.
Ahsan Iqbal said that torching the places of worship of other religion is no service to deen.
There are laws and courts in the country.
Former Federal Minister said that one cannot take law in hands as there is law for every crime.
He said that if a minority in Pakistan considers itself insecure, this idea will be negation of ideology of Pakistan.
Ahsan Iqbal said that young people of 12 to 14 years are being seen in the footage holding sticks and chanting the slogans of a religious party.
He further added that this trend is reminiscent of the tragic incident of Sialkot.
He said that all political parties and scholars have to work together to promote harmony in the society.
He further said that the events of Manipur in India were drawing the attention of world to mistreatment of minorities in India before this incident.
This incident turned media towards Pakistan.
Ahsan Iqbal said that Christian community fully participated in Pakistan Movement by voting for Pakistan.
Christian community is as much part of Pakistan as Muslims, he added
He said that Pakistan is a bouquet in which all flowers have to be put together to make it beautiful.
We all have to live and settle in harmony and unity. This is the teaching of our religion.
