Proclaimed offender wanted in murder case arrested

Police on Thursday arrested a proclaimed offender (PO) wanted in a murder, attempted murder and other criminal cases in an operation under the supervision of Superintendent of Police (SP) Faqirabad Division Dr Muhammad Umar, said a police handout.
According to details shared in the handout, the operation was carried out on a tip-off and arrested a man who shot dead a 16-year-old boy on some personal dispute on May 14, 2023.
SHO Police Station Phandu Aqib Khan, who led the operation, told reporters that the arrested person has been identified as Musa alias ‘Ghanda Musa’ who fled away after committing the crime of killing.
The accused was also allegedly involved in criminal activities and was providing support to criminal’s elements in the area.
Police claimed that during the preliminary investigation, the accused confessed to his crime, from which further investigation is ongoing.
The arrested person was also wanted in other serious crimes including murder, attempted murder, and looting, snatching and displaying weapons. Police after the arrest have registered a case and launched further investigation, said the handout.
