Police foiled minor girl trafficking bid, two women arrested

The special team of Capital City Police Peshawar, along with the ladies police, rescued a one-year-old infant girl being trafficked from Peshawar to Afghanistan.
According to police, the minor girl was kidnapped from Quetta district of Balochistan province but timely action of the police rescued the girl and arrested two female suspects.
Following the kidnapping of a one-year-old infant girl from Quetta on August 27, a complaint was registered at the Woman Police Station of Quetta District.
The Peshawar police received information about trafficking of the kidnapped girl through Peshawar to Afghanistan, CCPO Syed Ashfaq Anwar ordered the quarter concerned to tighten the checking of the entrance and exit routes of the city. A special team was formed to foil the bid and rescue the girl.
The team, along with the ladies police, foiled the attempt to transfer the abducted girl from the city on modern scientific lines and safely recovered the girl, daughter of Taj Muhammad, and arrested the two involved female suspects.
Police said the arrested women have been shifted to an unknown location for further investigation and arrangements have been made to handover the recovered minor girl to her parents.
The parents of the infant girl thanked the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police while appreciating the performance of Capital City Police Peshawar for timely action.
