ISLAMABAD
Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Islamabad has rejected the bail pleas of PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi in two cases.
Bail petitions came up for hearing before ATC led by judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain Friday.
Lawyer Ali Bokhari appeared on behalf of Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
Ali Bokhari requested the court either summon Shah Mehmood or extend his bail. This court has sent Shah Mehmood in jail. Judge should do justice by seeing the other side of wall.
The judge inquired what is the point of police ill intention in this case.
The counsel said arguments were fully prepared in previous three dates. We are not seeking some extraordinary relief. We are seeking exemption from today’s attendance.
The prosecutor prayed the court to dismiss the bail plea saying the Supreme Court has made the attendance of accused compulsory in bail before arrest case.
The court has dismissed bail of chairman PTI.
The court rejected bail applications of Shah Mehmood Qureshi in two cases being not persuaded.
It is pertinent to mention here ATC Judge reserved judgment for some time after hearing the arguments of the respondents.
