Two members of criminals gangs held: cash and mobile phone recovered

Islamabad Capital Police, Ramna and Industrial Area police station teams have arrested two members of criminal gangs involved in snatching and theft activities and recovered cash worth Rs 5.9 million, valuables and dagger from their possession, a public relation officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police had categorically started a crackdown against criminal elements in order to save the precious lives and property of citizens.
According to the details, the Ramna police team used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending a wanted member of a criminal gang involved in theft activities.. The accused was identified as Muhammad Ilyas. Police team also recovered cash worth Rs 5.9 million cash from his possession.
The Industrial Area police team used human resources and succeeded in apprehending a wanted member of a snatcher gang involved in numerous snatching activities. The accused was identified as Amjad Khan.
Police team also recovered valuables and a dagger from his possession. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
ICCPO directed the police officials to further intensify the crackdown against the criminal elements. “Safety and security of the citizens is our foremost priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard”, he maintained.
