Hike in petroleum prices condemned

ISLAMABAD: Political parties have condemned a massive increase in petroleum products and demanded its immediate withdrawal. According to a notification issued by the Finance Division, the price of petrol has been increased by 26.02 rupees to 331.38 rupees per liter and that of High Speed Diesel by 17.34 rupees to 329.18 rupees per liter. Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf Saturday condemned the latest hike in petrol and diesel process and said the caretaker govt has adopted anti-masses policies. A PTI statement said the caretakers have adopted the policies of the PDM government. Jamaat e Islami Ameer Siraj ul Haq said his party will not remain silent after the increase in the prices. He said JI will hold sit-ins outside governor houses in the provincial capital against the wave of price hike in the country. DNA
