Police recover two abducted men, kidnapper arrested

Police claimed on Monday to have recovered two people and arrested a kidnapper during an important operation in the limits of Sarband Police Station.
According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Cantt Wiqas Rafiq and SHO Sarband Police Station Kaleem Khan, Syed Gul and Hakeem alias Sohail had been kidnapped on September 6 and their kidnappers demanded a ransom of Rs100 million for his release.
They claimed that during an important operation led by DSP Pishtakhara Afzal Khan arrested the ringleader of the gang involved in the abduction of the two persons.
The arrested persons have been identified as Jamsheed, resident of tribal district Khyber. Police said that operation was conducted on the special instructions of SSP Operations and CCPO Peshawar. It has been revealed that one of the recovered people is a transport trader and abducted for ransom.
Police told reporters that the team utilized modern scientific methods and intelligence coordination with the assistance of Khyber Police completed the operation successfully.
During initial investigations, the suspect confessed to his crime and revealed the entire network involved in the kidnapping.
