Hundreds of patients returned back to homes without getting treatment

Doctors and paramedical staff of Headquarter Hospital, Landi Kotal gave up their duties in protest against the allegedly misbehave and corruption of the Medical Superintendent (MS) here on Monday.
Under the banner of Grand Health Alliance (GHA), the health staff boycotted Outdoor Patient Departments (OPDs) however causality and gyny units were opened to deal any emergency.
Carrying banners inscribed with slogans against the alleged corruption and misdeed of MS, Dr Jamshed Sherani, a large number of doctors and nurses and other health staff initiated a rally in the health center.
Addressing on the occasion those who led the rally including Dr Awais Shinwari, Dr Faheem Afridi, Mujeeb Afridi, Khayal Madar and others said that due to poor attitude of MS, specialists’ doctors were compelled to relieve.
They maintained that lack of interest by the administration to enhance curing quality in the hospital, the locals preferred to avail treatment facilities in down town hospital.
“Instead of working for the supply of betterment treatment services to the locals, the MS focuses on collecting illicit money through various means that is injustice,” they added.
They blamed that the mentioned official incorrectly made deductions of their salaries without any reasons that created uproar among the health staff and asked for accountability of him.
The protestors threatened that till the transfer of the MS,Dr Jamshed Sherani they would not give up their boycott.
Meanwhile hundreds of patients including women and children approached the hospital for healing from remote areas, returned back to homes without getting treatment because of the suspension of OPDs in the health center.
