Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) chairman Muhammad Faiq Shah said solutions to all issues are laying with holding of elections as per constitutional timeframe in the country.
Talking to different delegations including overseas Pakistanis, traders, lawyers and members of civil society on Tuesday, Shah noted the country has been plagued with a host of issues because of flawed policies.
The ATP chief expressed high worrisome over rising brain drain from Pakistan, stating of the total exodus figure, over 540,000 Pakistani left the country since the last eight months.
He added over 90,000 Pakistani left in the month of August.
Shah said: they have given a plan of honor, exaltation, economic prosperity and development of Pakistan, asking to enforce it with true letter and spirit.
He asserted: “The caretaker and former governments are on the same page in line with the kowtowing to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).”
“The people are deprived of eating bread two times a day,” he lamented.
Faiq continued to say people were drowning in the ‘tsunami of inflation’ and were unable to pay their electricity bills.
He stressed the need for cooperation with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in line with holding the general elections within the constitutional term of 90 days.
The party leader was of the view that there was a dire need to hold transparent elections for the sake of stability in the country.
Taking a jibe at the mafias, Mr Shah said, “The mafias had remained part of all the governments.
Nobody had tightened the noose around the mafias.”
He suggested the Minister of Foreign Affairs and investors should jointly host an overseas conference of investors, traders and influential people, which should be held in the Prime Minister House.
The ATP chairman asked that special incentives, subsidies and facility of one window operation should be announced for the foreign investors.
He said caretakers, institutions and political parties should work together for welfare and betterment of the common man.
