PESHAWAR
Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) chairman Muhammad Faiq Shah said the role of youth, competent people and intellectuals are vital in economic prosperity and development of the country.
Speaking at a workers convention organised here on Sunday, Shah said Pakistan still stands at a crossroads and plunged into a severe political and economic crisis owing to the rulers’ policy of personal interests and quest for gaining powers.
He maintained the state, economy and society are floating un-smoothly like a boat.
Central and provincial leaders of the party also addressed the convention.
Faiq observed agriculture, industry, trade and everything has sunk in the country.
He added politicians, elites and worshippers of power had brought the country to economic bankruptcy.
The ATP chairman blamed rulers committed murder of merit as they have made corruption, nepotism, looting and favouritism as destiny of this nation.
He said legislation was made only for personal gains, hiding corruption and protection of misdeeds.
Similarly, he said anti-graft institutions were used against political opponents for personal politics and interests.
He continued to say that destruction had brought every sector.
A completely vague situation prevailed everywhere as all institutions had deliberately been made redundant, the party chief said.
He added leaders of a political party are asking people to get ready to welcome their party’s chief.
He said even the interim government has gone a step further and added to the misery of inflation-stricken people on a daily basis by endorsing policies of the previous government.
The party chief emphasized that solutions to all these issues lie with the formation of a joint board of wisdom and honesty, through which all public segments and national institutions should run the country with full discipline and organized manner.
He said ATP has already given a comprehensive plan and line of action wherein politics, economy, and democracy would be stabilized.
He criticised that political parties and institutions didn’t realize the gravity of the situation, saying that this impassiveness would bring destruction.
