PESHAWAR: Police on Friday claimed to have arrested nine accused and recovered narcotics and weapons from their possession. According to police, SP City Division Tayyab Jan has initiated a massive crackdown against the criminal elements and a police team has arrested several suspects involved in drug pushing and arms possession. It stated that during an important operation, DSP Mukhtiar Ali, SHO Police Station Agha Mir Jani Shah Javed Marwat arrested nine suspects. DLP Report
The arrested persons have been identified as Dawood, Shahzad, Ghufran, Muhammad Ismail, Wali Muhammad, Wahidullah, Taimur Ayub, Hamza and Hamid Mehmood.
During the preliminary investigation, the arrested persons have admitted to involvement in various crimes.
During the successful operations, a total of two kilograms of hashish, half a kilogram of ice, four pistols and several magazines and cartridges were recovered from the possession of the accused.
Cases have been registered against the accused under various crimes and investigation has been started.
