E-visa verification system installed at Torkham Zero Point

Pakistan Immigration department shifted electronically verification system from FIA offices to Torkham Zero point to block illegal movment from and to Afghaniatan, officials said on Monday.
Talking journalists Federal Investigation Agency assistant director Yasar Arafat said that the aim of the electronic visa verification system was to discourage illegal border crossing to Pakistan. He said they have provided best possible facilities to passengers at Torkham offices.
Arafat said the Electronic Visa service would help reduced fake visa culture. He said those travelling on genuine travelling documents would be facilitated so that they could not wait for long in Torkham while traveling to Pakistan.
Yasar Arafat said approximately 3,000 to 5,000 passengers cross the border on daily basis. He said to avoid rush and delay they have deployed extra FIA staff and established a number of counters these days to expedite Afghan citizens repatriation.
He said more than sixty thousands Afghan nationals have voluntarily returned to Afghanistan in the past weeks.
It may be added here that Pakistan had placed a deadline to Illegal Afghan nationals to leave Pakistan till 30th of October.
