PESHAWAR
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali Saturday congratulated students and their parents on the completion of the medical studies from country’s prestigious educational institution.
The Governor said this in his address as chief guest during the 8th Convocation of the Ayub Medical College Abbottabad. In the same time the Governor KP Haji Ghulam Ali also congratulated the teachers and parents of the students who successfully completed their studies and would service the people as doctors.
Parents have given medical education to their children by bearing hardships and difficulties, for which I congratulate and pay tribute to the parents, Haji Ghulam Ali added. Ayub Medical College is not only a beautiful institution but also has an outstanding faculty which is impressive, Haji Ghulam Ali said.
Serving the suffering humanity is the best thing in the world, Haji Ghulam Ali said, adding, “Young medical students should perform their professional duties in the spirit of serving the suffering humanity.” Youngsters studying medicine have to face the current medical challenges, Haji Ghulam Ali said.
Haji Ghulam Ali urged the students to move forward with research and new inventions in medicine.
“We have to compete with the world in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases,” Haji Ghulam Ali said.
Federal and provincial governments are spending more and more resources on education and health sectors, Haji Ghulam Ali said, adding, “If governments are spending resources then the desired results should also be visible”.
Best cheap treatment in hospitals and best results from educational institutions will be considered as the success of the health and education sectors, Haji Ghulam Ali said. He said, doctors should have morals and decency in their attitudes with professional education and training.
In every profession including medical one should work with hard work and integrity, Haji Ghulam Ali said. He said, honesty and dedication to one’s profession is a guarantee of success. “Our effort is to eliminate the gap between rich and poor in all sectors,” Haji Ghulam Ali said. It is our responsibility to provide all opportunities to the poor and middle class in all fields including the medical field, Haji Ghulam Ali added.
