Police demolishes PTI’s stage in Mansehra

Deputy Commissioner Mansehra rejected the NOC of Workers’ Convention of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) after which the stage of PTI installed in the assembly hall was demolished.
A workers’ convention was organized by PTI in Mansehra, for which an application was made to the DPO and the concerned police station.
However, Deputy Commissioner Mansehra rejected the NOC yesterday.
According to DC Mansehra, PTI’s workers’ convention has been canceled in view of security.
Police station city Mansehra did not give security clearance, on which DPO Mansehra has also ordered not to hold any party including Tehreek-e-Insaaf.
On the other hand, on the orders of DC Mansehra, Section 144 has been imposed on the assembly processions across the district and police checkpoints have been set up at various places to disperse the convoys coming towards the assembly hall.
Police have also pulled down the stage built by PTI for the convention and a heavy contingent of police has been deployed in the assembly hall.
Raids are being conducted by the police to arrest PTI workers and officials.
According to City Police station, the PTI leadership was informed about the orders of the DPO and DC and the security concerns, however, despite all the situation, the PTI was adamant about holding the workers’ convention.
On which the police along with the administration took action to implement the orders of DPO Mansehra.
