Martyred soldier lays to rest in Landi Kotal

An air controller, Rehmat Zaib who embraced Shahadat during militants attack on Mianwali Airbase in Punjab of Pakistan was laid to rest with State honor here in Kam-Shelman village of Landi Kotal, district Khyber On Sunday.
According to Inter Service Public Relation (ISPR) in the early hours of Saturday, militants waged an offense at the Mianwali Training Air Base of the Pakistan Air Force and martyred four troops while the nine terrorists were killed in a clearance operation by the forces. The attackers also damage three aircraft, ISPR said.
Large number of residents, tribal elders and officials of security agencies were among the participants who attended the funeral rites of the Martyred soldier.
Later on, the Shaheed troop was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard with State honor.
It is to be mentioned here that The Tehreek-e-Jihad Pakistan (TJP), a newly-emerged militant group, affiliated with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), claimed responsibility in a statement to the media.
