The annual award distribution ceremony for the academic year 2023-2022 at Mehtab Shaheed Army Model School and College (also known as Army Public School and College Thatta @ Makli) took place on the other day.
The ceremony was a prestigious event, recognizing the accomplishments of students from kindergarten to intermediate levels. Notably, performance awards were not only presented to the dedicated teachers but also to the hardworking students.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the rendition of the National Anthem. Colonel Yasir Sahib, the commanding officer, and Muhammad Ilyas Palijo, the father of Shaheed Mehtab Ali, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Colonel Yasir Sahib, in his address, praised the leadership of the school’s Principal, Mr. Barkat Bernard Sahib. He acknowledged the school’s role in shaping the successful careers of its alumni, who now hold prominent positions. He expressed his pride in this institution and encouraged parents across Sindh province to consider sending their children here for high-quality education and training.
Muhammad Ilyas Palijo, father of the late Shaheed Mehtab Ali, also spoke at the ceremony, expressing gratitude to the Pakistan Army for their gift in memory of his son. He highlighted the affordability and quality of education provided by the school, emphasizing the honor of having the institution named after his brave child. He encouraged parents to prioritize Shaheed Mehtab Army School and College for their children’s education.
The event concluded on a positive note, fostering a sense of pride and commitment to providing excellent education to both boys and girls .
