Due to possible forces operation against militants, temporary displacement of tribesmen has started from various localities of Tirah Valley and the government has set 18, November 2023, as the deadline for them.
It is to be mentioned here that launching a possible military operation against militants, the government asked residents of Sandapal,Dray Naghray,Baghray,Bagh Ram,Khapoor,Jarobi and Daroota.
Local sources said on Monday that as per the government warning to leave their homes, approximately three hundred families so far had left their residencies and taken refuge downtown in Bara and other adjacent areas.
The official sources informed that the tribesmen will be displaced for short term to avoid civilian casualties in the forces operation.
Registration of the affected families initiated at Sukh point and transportation, food and other necessary commodities would be provided to them, sources said.
Dwellers of the villages where possible military action will be carried out approved the forces operation however they urged to conclude it as soon as possible as long term fight will damage their properties including crops and orchards.
Abdul Mateen, Qari Qismat, Sidra Hasan and others in a press conference held in the local press club asked the government to conduct targeted operations in their area and demanded the concerned authorities to set up camp in neighboring areas to settle the displaced people.
They also insisted on providing them transport, food and other facilities as they had left their homes in a hurry, leaving everything behind them.
Residents of the areas also requested to extend the deadline because the locality was hilly, inaccessible in addition with lack of transport facility.
It is to be mentioned here that last week in based military operation conducted in Sandapal including a Lieutenant Colonel three troops had martyred.
