Teqball Club inaugurated at Peshawar

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Teqball Association established Teqball club at Bloomfield Hall School Peshawar on Friday, aimed to promote the game among School Children. Senior Vice President, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Teqball Association, Zia-ul-Haq formally inaugurated the club in a ceremony. School Principal, Faculty and students attended the ceremony. CEO Tameer Pvt Ltd, Mian Absar Ali (Founder Teqball Pakistan), Hayat Nazir, Kyokushinkan karate Branch chief Pakistan, Akhtar Rasool, Vice President KP Teqball Association, Dr. Mudasir Khan, Project Director Hayatabad Heights also attended the ceremony.
On this occasion an exhibition match was played between top ranking players Hidayat-ur- Rehman and Jalal-ud-Din. Both players would represent Pakistan`s team in the forthcoming World Teqball Championship 2023, at Thailand in December this year. Besides them, Shal Akbar will also represent Pakistan in the World Championship. Founder of the Teqball in Pakistan, Mian Absar Ali will lead the squad in the World event.
Teqball was declared as fastest growing sports of the World four years back, and still considered the fastest growing sports at World level. Pakistan Teqball Federation and Teqball circles in Pakistan adopted same pattern and worked hard to develop and promote the game all over the country, which yielding results in all province, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Zia-ul-Haq said this was the third Teqball club in the provincial metropolitan Peshawar, besides clubs in remote district of the province to promote the game, train players and provide them with world level coaching adding “KP Teqball Association has already established two each club in Khyber and Swat, one each in Mardan, Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan”.
Mr. Zia announced a comprehensive equipment package for players and holding of School competition in mid of December and assured that KP Teqball Association and Tameer Group will continue supporting BHS Teqball Club to promote the game and bring forward top level players.
